Pascagoula River Audubon Center GLASS BLOWING - Create-Your-Own Vase (small)
Why am I not canceling Create-Your-Own classes??
#1. I work one-on-one with people so there is no group activity. If there is a small group, it is usually family and friends who would all be together anyway.
#2. When we work, we stand in front of a furnace that is 2100 degrees or more. Ain't nothin gonna survive that temperature when it comes to germs.
#3 Safety and Sanitation has ALWAYS been key at our business. I continue to sanitize the blowing apparatus and hand tools that are used before each person.
#4 People may still need something fun to do while everything else is shut down.
#5 It gives folks the opportunity to get a good sweat on and burn out any unwanted toxins from their body.
For this class you will be creating your own small vase
Choose a time slot to work and come prepared in your most stylish closed-toed shoes. You will be designing the color, shaping the glass with heat and your own breath while working with professional glass worker, Solange Ledwith with Swamp Girl Glass Blowing. Each time slot is for one person. If friends and family would like to make a piece together, you will want to reserve time slots that are back to back. Any other friends and family are welcome to come and hang out, watch and take pictures.
THIS IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT. We work with ages 4 and up! Younger students sometimes require more assistance, ( usually we ask the parents to jump in), otherwise the class is heavily facilitated by our professional glass working team. Glass pieces can be picked up either the next day or a time specified at the time of the class.
